KEY INFORMATION
The new £27 million bus and train station in Derry, known as the Northwest Transport Hub, was created by completely refurbishing the original Grade B listed train station building. The historic building, which closed in the 1980s after having served as a train station for over a century, has now been restored and repurposed as a modern and sustainable transport hub.
The electrical works undertaken were extensive, ranging from access control systems, CCTV, barriers, fire and intruder alarms to sector specific requirements such as bus and passenger information systems, platform lighting, and lightning protection.
Sustainability was a key priority, so the package of works included installation of a PV system and vehicle charging points.
